Continuous Professional Development
CPD provides a means for nurses to keep up with emerging issues within healthcare as well as knowledge sharing. It also provides a means of maintaining standards and ethical nursing practice. Vaka Health Foundation supports the development and dissemination of CPD free of charge through the Guild Learning Center. CPD is accessible at the Guild Learning Centre as discussed on the previous page.
The foundation also supports in-country capacity building which enables nursing authorities to develop and deliver member driven CPD programs. One such initiative is the MyCpdZw program which provides nurses in Zimbabwe with CPD. The platform which lives at www.mycpdzw.org has over 30000 nurses registered and actively accessing CPD from the site.
